Location(s): Preferably Zurich, London or Berlin - also open to receiving applications from candidates remotely based in Europe (travel to Switzerland and other European locations required).

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

As a Lead Software Engineer you manage your project goals, contribute to product strategy and help develop our engineering team. You will be responsible for:

• Setting and communicating priorities that support Lakera’s goals. Align technical strategy, processes, and decision-making among leaders and peers.
• Developing the long-term technical vision and roadmap. Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
• Overseeing systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and reviewing product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
• Reviewing code developed by other engineers and providing feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).

About you:

• 5+ years of professional experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects & mentorship/supervision.
• Familiar with production level Python, C++, Golang or another interesting set of programming languages;
